What is the submission process for Meet Magento India 2024?

Step 1: Go to the Meet Magento India 2024 Awards Application Page to start the nomination process.

Step 2: Fill out the nomination form. Include all relevant details about your solution to help the judges understand the scope and merit of your work.

Step 3: Pay the mandatory fee of ₹500 ($6.25) that is required for each application. Your nomination is valid only after the payment has been successfully processed. Once complete, you will receive a confirmation message.

Step 4: Shortly after payment, you will receive an email confirming the submission of your nomination.

Feel free to submit multiple nominations in different categories to increase your chances of winning. 

What is the deadline for submission?

The last date to submit nomination applications is January 31, 2024. Depending on the nature of response, the submission period may be extended by a week to allow for more entries. 

Are there any prerequisites for submitting my nomination?

Yes, there are prerequisites for submitting your nomination.

  • You must have a valid ticket to Meet Magento India 2024.
  • The projects you submit should have been worked on in 2022 or 2023.
  • The merchant solution being nominated must be a current/active client of the company/agency/individual submitting the nomination.

Are there any restrictions on the number of submissions?

You can submit as many entries as you like. You can also nominate the same solution for multiple categories. 

Can a single application be submitted in multiple categories?

While you can nominate your solution for multiple categories, each nomination requires a separate application. This is because the information needed for evaluating each category is distinct.

What is the purpose of the entry fee?

The entry fee serves a dual purpose – First, it ensures that we receive entries from serious contenders for the awards. Second, all proceeds from the nominations go towards the Magento Association Fund. Your entry fee plays a crucial role in sustaining and improving the Magento community.  

What is the payment process?

After you submit your nomination details, you will be redirected to a payment gateway to pay the entry fee. Payment options include UPI, credit card, debit card, net banking, and wallet via Razorpay.

How are winners announced?

Winners from each category will be announced on stage at the end of the event.

What are the benefits of winning Meet Magento India Awards?

Along with recognition for your contributions to the Magento community, winners receive a badge with the agency’s name to display on their website. This badge links back to the Meet Magento India page to a dedicated winner’s section. You can see the full list of benefits on the Awards Page.

What should I do before submitting an award nomination?

Can we submit a website that is almost but not yet live for the award?

No, only projects in a production environment are eligible. Incomplete projects are not considered. 

Are projects launched in 2020 or 2021 but still actively maintained eligible?

Yes, if work as described in the award category, was done in 2022 or 2023 and the merchant solution nominated is a current client. 

What are the criteria for selecting winners in each category?

Every award category has its own standards and criteria. This helps ensure all entries are thoroughly evaluated. 

Will the selection panel verify information with the merchant?

Yes, submitted applications will be sent to both the merchant and solution partner for verification. 

When will the selection panel be announced and the finalists be notified?

The panel members will be disclosed on award day during the awards ceremony. Finalists will be notified by email a few days prior to the event. 

Is migration from Magento to enterprise or community editions valid for nominations?

Yes, any migration to Magento 2 is valid. 

Can a project from another platform migrated to Magento be submitted in the migration category?

Yes, migrations from any platform to Magento are eligible. 

Can an individual apply or submit a nomination on behalf of a merchant without acknowledgment from the merchant?

No, in order for an entry to be considered valid, authorization from both the merchant and the solution partner is required. This is to avoid potential legal issues and ensure that both parties are aware of and approve of the submission.

Panelists consider both the loading time and functionality of websites, assessing how well they perform given their unique content and features. The final vote is based on a holistic evaluation of these criteria. 

Is there a threshold speed criterion for the Lightning-Fast Award category?

While there isn’t a specific page score criteria mentioned, submissions are accepted regardless of page weight. The judging process considers the loading time and functionality based on the website’s unique content and features.

Can individuals apply for the award, and does it have to be a formal organization?

The award is open to both agencies and individuals. If an individual has built a solution on behalf of a merchant and has the merchant’s permission, they are eligible to apply for the award.
